This is one of the reasons why specialised insurance services have always been an integral part of the ERNST RUSS shipping network. We have been underwriting maritime risks since the 1920s. Our marine insurance is provided by the agency Assekuranz-Gesellschaft E. Russ mbH. Directly involved in the insurance side of the shipping industry, we offer expert advice on hulls and machinery as well as P&I insurance.

Safety and quality first. We acquired our first vessel, a steamship, back in 1899 when the seas were still dominated by sailing vessels. Over the years, we have owned and managed tonnage ranging from traditional liner vessels to capesize bulkers, tankers and car bulkers.
